Josh Koscheck and Johny Hendricks are set to meet in the Octagon on May 5th at UFC on Fox 3 in a [likely] co-main event bout that may determine the next UFC Welterweight Contender. Of course, the next title-fight is supposed to be between Georges St. Pierre and Carlos Condit sometime in November when GSP says he will be fully recovered to fight. So it might be a year from now before the winner of Koscheck vs. Hendricks would get the shot. And by then, hopefully our favorite homie, Nick Diaz will be back in the picture.
For now, we’ll have to focus solely on Koscheck vs. Hendricks and get ready for a few good Twitter jabs. Kos already kicked things off yesterday by misspelling Hendricks’ name and wondering if he’ll fight like a man:
I’m not actually sure if Kos purposefully misspelled Johny Hendricks’ last name in that tweet. But if he did, he probably should have spelled his first name with a double “n” (i.e., Johnny) instead. I bet Johny hates that.
